# Spendl Web App How-To Guide

This guide is your complete reference for the Spendl platform.

Whether you are logging in for the first time or looking for a quick refresher on a specific feature, everything you need is covered here in one place.

**What this guide covers:**

The Spendl platform gives you access to three connected financial tools under one roof: a digital wallet for sending and receiving money, a personal banking account linked to your Spendl Card for everyday spending, and a crypto account for managing digital assets.

## Getting Started

### Signing In

Your account has already been set up by the Spendl team. The sign-in screen is your entry point to the platform. Simply use the email address registered to your account.

## Overview Dashboard

The Overview is your home screen. Everything on the Spendl platform starts here. At a glance you can see the full picture of your finances across your wallet, your card, and your crypto portfolio.

| Account Card     | What it shows                                                             |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Spendl Wallet    | Your main wallet balance. This is where money comes in and goes out.      |
| Personal Banking | Your Spendl Card balance. Used for everyday in-store and online spending. |
| Crypto Portfolio | The total ZAR value of all your crypto holdings.                          |

**Total Portfolio Value** is displayed in the top-right corner and updates in real time as transactions are made. Tap any card to go directly into that section.

## Spendl Wallet

The Spendl Wallet is the engine of the platform. All money flowing in and out of Spendl moves through here first. Before using any other feature, start by funding your wallet.

### Deposit Funds

You can add funds to your Spendl Wallet using the available deposit options inside the app.

**Important:** When making a Manual EFT, always use your unique deposit reference. Using the wrong reference may result in funds not being allocated to your account. Only deposit from a bank account registered in your own name. No cash or cheques accepted.

### Send Money

Send funds from your Spendl Wallet to any other registered Spendl user. Transfers happen instantly and are completely free.

### Pay External Bank Accounts

Send money from your Spendl Wallet directly to any South African bank account. Useful for paying anyone who is not on Spendl.

Tap + Add new and enter the account holder name, bank, and account number.

### Request Money

Track all payment requests you have sent and received in one place. See exactly what is pending, what has been completed, and what has been declined.

### Top Up Card

## Personal Banking

Your Personal Banking account is linked to your Spendl Card. It is funded via Top Up Card from your Spendl Wallet and is the account you use for everyday spending in-store and online.

### Receive Funds

Share your Spendl bank account details so others can send money directly to your account via EFT or card transfer.

**Your account details include:**

* Bank name
* Account number
* Account type
* Branch code and branch name

There is also a **Debit Card** tab that shows your card's direct deposit details as an alternative receiving method.

Manage your full crypto portfolio in one place. Spendl supports a range of digital assets, allowing you to deposit crypto and convert it directly to ZAR for spending.

**Important: Understand how Spendl handles crypto before depositing.**

Spendl supports a unilateral value flow. Digital assets are deposited for conversion to ZAR only. Spendl does not facilitate outbound virtual-asset transfers to third-party wallets or VASPs/CASPs, nor reconversion of ZAR back to digital assets. All outbound ZAR flows go to named and compliant banking accounts only.

### Deposit Crypto

Bring crypto into your Spendl wallet from an external wallet or exchange. Each coin has a unique deposit address generated specifically for your account.

**Critical:** Only send via the correct network for the selected coin. For example, BTC must be sent via the Bitcoin Network only. Sending via the wrong network may result in the permanent loss of your funds.

### Withdraw Crypto

Spendl does not support outbound crypto withdrawals to external wallets. All crypto deposited into Spendl is converted to ZAR. To move funds out, use Send to Card to load ZAR onto your Spendl Card, or use your Spendl Wallet to pay or send to a compliant bank account.

### Send to Card

## Profile

The Profile section is your account hub. Manage your personal details, security settings, and notification preferences from here. Access it from the navigation menu at any time.

**What you will see:**

* Your name and email address at the top of the page
* Navigation to Account Info and Settings
* A Log Out button at the bottom

### Account Info

Account Info displays the personal details registered to your Spendl account. This includes your name, email address, contact number, and identity verification status.

Keep your details up to date at all times. Outdated information can cause delays with deposits and identity verification. If any details appear incorrect, contact Spendl support to have them corrected.

### Settings

Control your account security and notification preferences from the Settings page.

| Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) | Requires a second verification step at every login. Strongly recommended for all users to keep funds safe. |
| Biometric Login                 | Enables Face ID or fingerprint login. Faster and more secure. Toggle on or off at any time.                |
| Password                        | Confirms a password is set on your account. Update your password from here.                                |
| Login Emails                    | Receive an email notification on every successful login.                                                   |
| Deposit Emails                  | Receive an email notification when a deposit is received.                                                  |
| Trade Notifications             | Receive notifications for crypto trades and activity.                                                      |
| Start Guided Tour               | A page by page guided tour on the Spendl platform                                                          |
